A Partnership in Action.jpg

For the Love of Animals

This collaborative project, in partnership with Saplings, the children's book publishing branch of One Thousand Trees, pairs elementary school students with an animal rescue or shelter in their area. Students are asked to write a story about their pet and/or favourite animal, and draw a picture to accompany their story. Books are then published, and made available for purchase, with all net proceeds going to the partnering humane society/shelter.

To date, books have been produced in Barrie, Burlington, Georgian Triangle, Guelph, Peterborough, Toronto, Tyendinaga, and Wasaga Beach ... and there are more to come!

If you'd like to get involved in this project, email lisa@onethousandtrees.com.
