This collaborative project, in partnership with Saplings, the children's book publishing branch of One Thousand Trees, pairs elementary school students with a humane society or animal shelter in their area. Students were asked to write a story about their pet and/or favourite animal, and draw a picture to accompany their story. Books are then published, and made available for purchase, with all net proceeds going to the partnering humane society/shelter.

To date, books have been produced in Tyendinaga, Toronto, Guelph, Peterborough, and Georgian Bay ... and there are more to come!
